The area around my office building is surprisingly nature-filled. I think the area it's in would be considered the Virginia exurbs, and there are decent amounts of "forest" nearby. But I am still surprised when I find things in our parking lot, which should be a barren patch of asphalt.

Hello! No snail pictures, I'm afraid, but I got this glorious shot of a leopard slug (Limax maximus) on the sidewalk outside my sister's apartment complex.
